Project & Operations Management Planning · Logistics · Team leadership

I plan the work, organize the people and resources, and keep projects on schedule when the pressure is on. I've done it in media, live events, marketing production, and medical device marketing, and I bring the same approach to any industry.

Range

Four industries, one skill set

Each of these fields had different tools, teams, and stakes. In every one, my job came down to planning carefully, communicating clearly, and delivering on time.

Media & broadcasting

Tegna

Coordinating content across multiple TV stations nationwide and training new team members.

Sports & live events

Durham Bulls · Sports Reelz

Running game-day operations and delivering video to coaches on tight turnarounds.

Marketing production

Blueforest Studios

Managing equipment and logistics from pre-production through filming.

Medical device marketing

Orsense

Recruiting and managing study participants to support a product's development and launch.

What carries over to any field: scheduling and deadline management, logistics, recruiting and training people, quality control, and staying calm when something breaks. I learn new environments quickly and I'm comfortable being the person others come to for answers.

How I run a project

Plan, build, deliver, review

The same lifecycle shows up in every industry I've worked in.

Phase 1 · Plan

Map the logistics

Lay out the people, equipment, budget, and timeline before work starts, so the project runs on a plan instead of guesswork.

Phase 2 · Build

Staff and train

Recruit the right people and get them ready. I'm the go-to trainer for new hires in my current role.

Phase 3 · Deliver

Execute and adapt

Keep communication open between teams, track progress against deadlines, and solve problems as soon as they appear.

Phase 4 · Review

Check the quality

Confirm the work meets the standard, keep records backed up, and hand off a finished product people can rely on.

Case studies

Leadership in practice

Examples of how I approach a challenge, what I did, and how it turned out.

From new hire to go-to trainer

Tegna · Broadcast Hub · 2025 – present
~10Stations overseen daily
6 moFrom new hire to trainer

Challenge

I joined a fast-paced operations team overseeing content for about 10 TV stations every day, where accuracy and timing matter every minute. I needed to get up to speed quickly.

Approach

  • Adapted quickly and learned the role in depth.
  • Focused on performing at a high level, not just getting by.
  • Helped teammates whenever they had questions.
  • Stayed patient when teaching, so people felt comfortable asking.

Result

Within six months of joining, I was training new hires and had become the team's go-to person for support.

Why it matters for project work: I ramp up quickly in new environments, and I lead without needing a title. Teams trust me to share knowledge and to bring new people up to speed.

Trusted with high-stakes assignments

Tegna · Out-of-state game coverage
20+Games handled
1 of 8Operators selected
SoloSole operator on each game

Challenge

Out-of-state games are live, high-pressure broadcasts with no room for error. Only a small group of operators is chosen to handle them, and each game is run by a single operator.

Approach

  • Made my interest in taking on these games known.
  • Built a reputation for solving problems quickly when issues came up.
  • Stayed calm and focused under pressure, so others could rely on me.

Result

Selected as one of eight operators to handle out-of-state games, and have since handled more than 20 of them as the sole operator.

Why it matters for project work: I step up for challenging work, and I stay steady when the stakes are high. That's what a team needs from the person running a project.

A QR-code equipment inventory

Blueforest Studios · 2024
50+Items labeled and tracked
~$25KEquipment value managed

Challenge

The production team relied on a van full of audio and video gear that moved from shoot to shoot. Keeping track of roughly $25,000 worth of equipment was a real need, especially with tight setup windows.

Approach

  • Labeled 50+ pieces of equipment.
  • Built a spreadsheet listing each item's name and price.
  • Added a QR code to each label that opens the spreadsheet.
  • Tested gear regularly to catch problems before shoots.

Result

Gear became easier to find, which mattered most on shoots with little time to set up. Anyone could scan an item to see what it was and what it cost, and I maintained the full inventory independently.

Why it matters for project work: I see a gap in how a team works and build a simple system to fix it, on my own initiative. Asset tracking, documentation, and process improvement are core project management skills.
